AR: As a high school senior, my passion for nice cars sparked my interest early. That alongside needing a better path to pursue in life made me committed. My passion for problem solving/assisting/uniting is what drives me. I like to fix. For example, someone leaving a vehicle with me that sometimes may be so damaged you'd think it's totaled - only to pick it up days later looking like it came off the lot does a lot for me mentally. I can say the same for giving back to the youth in my community. Seeing that it’s greatly appreciated keeps me grounded.

What did your journey look like getting to this position?

The journey was rough, very rough! Nothing good came easy. There were many obstacles and it took lots of faith and patience to get in the position I am at in life now. In my line of work, being a 35yr old owner of an auto body shop for 8 years is extremely young. It takes a lot of trust for someone to drop off their vehicle to you. The process of building up clientele and good reputation for doing business took a lot of time and patience.

I definitely seen myself as a successful man 10 years ago, I set personal goals very often. With that being said, I never thought I’d have a foot in so many different walks of life.

In an effort to make the community around him a better place, Dre has gotten involved at any chance he has gotten. From Back to School Bashes, Clothing Drives and various youth conferences, he has made an impact through volunteering, organizing and teaching. Coming from a low income household and seeing firsthand the effect of poverty and drugs, he has made it his mission to make a difference in the lives of those around him, young and old.

How do you hope people feel after working with you?

I just hope no one ever regrets choosing me for any business of any kind. I always want to make sure every customer understands the process and can go back and recommend their friends and family to me. That’s a job well done and the kind of advertisement money can’t buy.

AR: A highlight of my career has been actually leaving my career/job of 8 years to go into business for myself. It was a scary moment and I was nervous, but I was ready. If I could go back I more then likely wouldn’t change a thing. Everything that’s meant to happen, will happen. Timing is very important with anything you aspire to do.
