A WORD FROM THE LOCALS: Ali Babe

WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE ARTIST?

"Right now, I would say Matt Babe. He's a senior at Westside High School and he's unbelievably talented. I'm all about supporting, nurturing and focusing on our youth and making their dreams come true.

WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON OMAHA'S CREATIVE UNDERGROUND CULTURE?

"The underground creative community in OMaha is BIG. There is a lot of opportunity in Omaha for our youth, especially with groups like Kentbellows Studio, 4H, and Omaha Fashion Week!  I work with those youth groups through OFW!

WHAT IS ON THE HORIZON FOR OMAHA FASHION WEEK?

We have an upcoming student night in March 2015, where some of the students in 4H and Kentbellows are offered the opportunity to produce their own show during OFW. We're offering free tickets to anyone who has a student ID or any community groups who apply for a ticket package. It's on our website at www.omahafashionweek.com!

OFW IS ONE OF OUR CREATIVE CORNERSTONES AS IT'S BEEN AROUND A WHILE...

"Well, we are an incubator. We give people the opportunity to show their work!"

LASTLY, WHAT IS YOUR DREAM JOB?

"I have it!"

Ali has a passion for fashion and while that may sound cliche, it's the truth!!! For more information on Omaha Fashion Week and upcoming shows click the link up above!

Identity x Design was created to highlight the creative culture here in Omaha. I asked several people of their opinions and I got some great feedback.

I had the chance to speak with Ali Babe recently, who is the Sales Coordinator for Design Parliament and Assistant Producer at Omaha Fashion Week. She is one of Omaha's most stylish women, very driven, smart, and happens to be one of my dearest friends.
